How to Track Your Activities with Waterspeed
At Waterspeed, we’ve built an app designed to capture, understand, and relive every session on the water — so you can focus on performance, safety, and the pure joy of being out there. Here’s how to get started.
Get Set Up on iOS or Android
Waterspeed is available on both Android and iOS. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play, sign up for an account, and you’re ready to go. From there, you’ve got several ways to track your activities:
Connect Your Garmin, Suunto or Coros GPS Watch
If you use a GPS watch, you can connect it directly to Waterspeed — we integrate with Garmin, COROS, and Suunto. Head to your Settings to set up the connection. Once your watch is linked, record your session as usual and it will sync automatically with the app — complete with your route, speed, distance, and key stats.
This setup is ideal if you prefer to keep your phone safely onshore and track everything straight from your wrist.
Track with Your Smartwatch
Waterspeed is fully optimized for Apple Watch, letting you start, pause, and stop your session right from your wrist — no phone required. You’ll see live stats like speed, distance, and route, and your data will sync back to the app automatically.
For Android users, our Wear OS app is coming soon, bringing the same seamless experience to compatible smartwatches.
Use Your Phone
Don’t have a watch? No problem. You can still track your session using your phone’s built-in GPS. Just open the app, go to Record, select your sport, and hit Start. We recommend using a waterproof pouch or armband so your phone stays dry and secure while you’re out on the water.
Review and Relive Your Session
Once saved, Waterspeed turns your data into insights. You can review your route, analyze your performance, and build a complete log of your sessions over time. Compare days, spots, and conditions — and see how your time on the water evolves.
See you on the water!
