Refund and Cancellation Policy

Last updated October 23, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel a Waterspeed subscription, when you can get your money back and how to withdraw from a purchase if you are a consumer in the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom (UK). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.

Who sells you the subscription

How you cancel and how refunds work depends on where you bought the subscription:

  • Website or web app (Direct Purchase). The seller is Waterspeed Technologies Limited, Unit GV-00-10-07-OF-02, Level 7, Gate Village Building 10, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai, UAE, support@waterspeedapp.com. Payments are processed by Stripe. Paid plans are Waterspeed Pro and Waterspeed Ultra.
  • Apple App Store. Apple is the seller. Apple’s terms, cancellation rules and refund process apply.
  • Google Play. Google is the seller. Google Play’s terms, cancellation rules and refund process apply.

Your receipt or confirmation email shows which channel you used.

How automatic renewal works

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period for the same length of time, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel.
  • To stop the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • If we change the price, we tell you in advance, the new price applies only from the next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.
  • If you are on a free trial or introductory offer, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown at purchase unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the offer ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.

How to cancel

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app or your Waterspeed account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it as shown above first.

Refunds for Direct Purchases

We refund a Direct Purchase in these cases:

  • Withdrawal within 14 days (EU, EEA and UK consumers): see the next section.
  • Service not working as promised: if a paid feature does not work as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you can ask for a proportionate price reduction or end the contract and get back the amount paid for the period in which the service did not work. This is your statutory right as an EU, EEA or UK consumer and we apply it to all customers.
  • Charged by mistake: duplicate charges, or charges after a cancellation made on time, are refunded in full.
  • Early termination rights under national law: where the law of the country you live in lets you end an automatically renewed subscription early (for example, in Germany with one month’s notice once the first term has ended), we honour it and refund the unused part of the period paid for.

Outside these cases, payments are not refunded and we do not give refunds or credits for the unused part of a billing period after you cancel. You can always ask: we look at each request individually. To request a refund, email support@waterspeedapp.com with the email address of your Waterspeed account, the date and amount of the charge and the reason. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe without undue delay. Your bank or card issuer decides how long the refund takes to appear; Stripe states this usually takes 5 to 10 business days.

Right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK and bought a subscription directly from us, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends 14 days after the day the contract was concluded, which is the day of your purchase.

How to withdraw. The easiest way is to cancel your subscription in the Stripe Customer Portal before the 14 days end. If you cancel there within 14 days of your purchase, we treat the cancellation as your withdrawal from the contract: you do not need to do anything else. You can also tell us in another clear way: email support@waterspeedapp.com with the subject “Withdrawal from contract”, or use the model form below. You do not have to use the form. It is enough to send your message before the period ends. We confirm receipt without delay by email.

After 14 days, cancelling in the Stripe Customer Portal only stops future renewals, as described under “How to cancel”. The portal also shows your purchase date, receipts and subscription.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw, we refund all payments received from you for that contract without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive your withdrawal. We use the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise, and you will not pay any fee for the refund. If you asked for the subscription to start during the withdrawal period, which happens when you start using paid features straight away, we deduct an amount in proportion to the days you had access before you told us you were withdrawing. Your paid access ends when the withdrawal is processed.

The right of withdrawal applies to the first purchase of a subscription. It does not start again at each automatic renewal of the same subscription. It does not apply to purchases made for business purposes.

Purchases through Apple or Google Play. Apple or Google is the seller and handles withdrawal under its own terms. Use their refund process below.

Refunds for Apple App Store and Google Play purchases

  • Apple: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides on refunds; we cannot issue them for App Store purchases.
  • Google Play: request a refund from Google Play under Google’s refund policies; within 48 hours of purchase this can usually be done directly in Google Play. After 48 hours, contact us at support@waterspeedapp.com; we can refund Google Play purchases in the cases listed under “Refunds for Direct Purchases”.

Your statutory rights as a consumer in your country apply to these purchases too.

Chargebacks and disputed payments

If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first at support@waterspeedapp.com. You can still contact your bank or card issuer at any time. While a chargeback is open we may pause access to paid features.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Changes do not affect a refund you requested before the change.

Questions and complaints

Write to support@waterspeedapp.com. If we cannot resolve a complaint, you can contact the consumer protection authority or an out-of-court dispute resolution body in the country where you live.
