What should you watch out for?

  • windsurfing.org warns of a strong northerly current on the north side of the jetty.
  • Kiteforum also lists a bridge among the hazards.

What are the beach rules?

Kiteforum asks riders to keep a safe distance downwind when launching and to use a launcher and lander on busy beaches. It also says beach bans were relaxed on the condition of Australian Kitesurfing Association membership, but gives no date. We could not confirm the current rule, so check with local riders or the council before you ride.
