The beach faces open ocean, so expect chop and some waves breaking near the shore (MACkite). The wind is side-onshore. MACkite reports 16 to 35 knots on the beaches of Preá, and IKSURFMAG 20 to 30 knots daily in season. Both rate the spot for all levels, and windsurf is practised here too.

For flat water, the lagoons at Guriú and Tatajuba are nearby.

Is February still windy?

It is the weakest of the three months. IKSURFMAG still lists February among the windiest months, while Diário do Nordeste ends the season in mid-January and Kite Jungle’s count drops to 19 windy days. December is the safest bet; in February, bring a bigger kite and allow for a few light days.
