How to export a GPX or original file from Strava
Download any of your Strava activities as GPX or as the original FIT file from the Strava website, export TCX, or download your whole account.

On the Strava website, open your activity, click the … menu and choose Export Original (the file as it was uploaded, usually FIT from a watch) or Export GPX. The Strava mobile app has no export option.

How do I export an activity from Strava?
- On a computer, sign in at strava.com.
- Open the activity.
- Click the … (three dots) menu on the activity page.
- Choose Export Original or Export GPX.

To get TCX, add /export_tcx to the end of the activity’s address.
Can I export someone else’s Strava activity?
Only as GPX, and without their performance data such as heart rate. Export Original is limited to your own activities.
Can I download all my Strava activities at once?
Yes. In Settings, then My Account, request your archive under the download option. Strava emails you a link to a ZIP with your activity files.
How do I see my speed from the file?
Drop the file into the free GPX and FIT analyzer for top speed, best 10 seconds, best 500 m and your track on a map; the file stays in your browser. For best speeds over set times and distances, tacks and gybes and comparison with past sessions, import it into the Waterspeed web app at go.waterspeedapp.com. More in how to open a GPX or FIT file.
Can Waterspeed import from Strava automatically?
No. Waterspeed sends sessions to Strava, not the other way round. For older Strava activities, export the file and import it. For new sessions, record with Waterspeed or connect your watch, and the session goes to Strava automatically if you turn that on. See Waterspeed vs Strava.

Why is there no export option in the Strava app?
Strava offers export on the website only. Open strava.com in a browser, on a computer or your phone.
Why does my GPX from Strava have no heart rate?
GPX only carries what Strava puts in it. Export Original to get the full file your watch recorded.
